Tools of marketing mix- four Ps

There are several marketing mix tools. mccarthy popularised a four factor classification of these tools called the four Ps

1. product
2. price
3. place (distribution)
4. promotion

Robert Lauterborn,s suggestion was that the four Ps correspond to the customer's four Cs

4 Ps 4 Cs
product customer needs and wants
price cost to the customer
place (distribution) convenience
promotion communication


4 As against four Ps these are:

accessibility
affordability
acceptability
awareness


the market value coverage = acceptability * affordability * accessibility * awareness
